Open Spotlight

Press these keys together:

⌘ Command + Space

Spotlight is Mac's search bar. It pops up in the center of your screen.

Type "Terminal" in Spotlight

Type the word Terminal and press Enter.

Terminal is an app on your Mac that lets you type commands. A black window will open.

Install Homebrew

Copy this, paste it into Terminal, and press Enter:

/bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/HEAD/install.sh)"

Homebrew is a tool that installs apps on Mac. It takes 2-3 minutes to install.

Already have Homebrew? Skip to step 4.

Enter Your Password

Terminal will ask: Password:

Type your Mac password and press Enter.

⚠️

You won't see anything as you type — no dots, no letters, nothing. Your keyboard IS working! This is a security feature so no one can see your password length. Just type it and press Enter.

Install Apollo

Copy this, paste it into Terminal, and press Enter:

brew install i-luv-pho/tap/apollo

This downloads Apollo to your computer. Takes about 30 seconds.

Run Apollo

Type this and press Enter:

apollo

Apollo starts! Now just type what deck you want, like: "make me a pitch deck about my startup"
